Activating New Features in Home Up
Okay now let’s just take a look at the newest features in this update one by one and see how to activate them. To activate the latest features of the Home Up module of the Good Lock application, of course, you must first install the Good Lock application.
Newest Home Up
For those of you who have never installed Good Lock on your Samsung smartphone, you can check our previous article on how to install the latest Good Lock in 2021 on the link in the upper right corner. Apart from installing Good Lock, all you have to do is install the latest Home Up module which is version 2.0.01.11. This update has just arrived on February 24, 2021 and this update is specifically for One UI version 3.0 and above and also for Android version 11.
After successfully installing the Home Up module, all you have to do is enter the Fine Lock application and open the Home Up module. Here you just need to activate the Home Up. Now we will see how to make the pop-up folder looks like this.
To make the folder view easier to access with one hand and tidier, you can go to the folder settings. Then here you just need to activate the Popup Folder and you can also go directly to the settings by pressing on the Popup Folder section.
Here you can also choose colors for the background if you want to change the background color from the folder view. You can also choose black or white for the font at the top.
Then for the transparency background you can also set it in this section. And for the circles on the side you can also set it like in the previous version. Here you just need to adjust the font color , background color and also the transparency background to your like.
Here as an example we just choose yellow and the font is black and for transparency we reduce it a little and the Background corners a little curved like this. And roughly, the appearance will appear like this. For the color, you can change it according to your like and theme you are using.
Task Changer Display
Then next we will see how to change the appearance of Task Changer. Previously, to change the appearance of Task Changer, you had to install a separate module called Task Changer.
Now, in this latest update, the Task Changer module has in the Home Up module. So, now if you want to change the Recent apps view to be like this or become a different view, all you have to do is update the latest Home Up module and enter the Task Changer settings.
Here, in the Home UP application settings, you can see at the very bottom there is the addition of the Task Changer feature. For the previous version, we only get the Home screen, Folder, Back up and Restore and Share Manager only. In this latest update, we now have a Task Changer that joins the Home Up module.
To change the appearance of the Recent apps, we just have to go to the Home Up application and select Task Changer at the very bottom. Then, here are three layouts that we can choose from. There is a Standard layout that displays a list like this, then there is also a Grid layout view that appears like this and finally there is also a Stack view that looks big like this. So, now for the previous stand-alone Task Changer module, it’s included in the Home Up module.
Switch to Previous Apps with Gestures
Then the next most interesting thing in this update is now you can take advantage of the fast application move gesture at the bottom without the need to activate the gesture Hint. In the previous version, if you wanted to switch fast apps like this you had to activate Gesture Hint first. This time, you can immediately switch applications quickly like this without the need to activate the gesture Hint or any display on the screen.
To activate the gesture to move applications quickly, like what we did earlier, you can press Switch to previous apps with gestures. You just have to activate it and now you can immediately switch applications fast enough without the need to bring up the Hint gesture again. And for other gestures it still works as usual.
The other basic settings are still the same as in the previous version. If you want to bring up the App label you can activate it and later the name of the application will appear at the top. And if you deactivate it, the application name will not appear and only the icon will appear at the top. The Grid view will also appear like this for the removed App labels. And if you want to bring up the App label it will appear like this along with the name of the Application.
And for the Search bar at the top, you can immediately remove it by activating the Hide search bar menu in the details section of this setting. So, the display will immediately go full screen without any Search bar at the top. Then at the very bottom there is also a setting for sensitivity. The default sensitivity is 100%. The part that you touch will appear in the blue part below it. If you feel this is too sensitive and you often press the wrong one, you can lower the sensitivity level in this section.
Share Manager Settings
Next, we will also see how to set the Share Manager. Share Manage is a display when you want to share or share files to other smartphones. By default, it will appear like this.
For example, we want to share this photo, we can tap on Share and the display for the share will appear like this. And to change it, you can set it in the Share Manager in the Home Up module. Here you can select any application that you want to enter this Share Menu.
For example, here you only want to share with the Twitter application, here you just have to select any features that support the application and when you share photos or other files, the Twitter application will appear like this. So you can limit the appearance of the application to bring up the applications that you use frequently.
And if you suddenly want to use the share for another application, later you can bring up the View all apps icon at the top. You can choose to bring it up at the beginning or at the end of the Twitter icon that you have chosen. So the Share Manager display will be neater and only the applications that you use often will appear . And even if you need to share for other applications, all you have to do is press the All apps, then other applications will appear as usual.
Then then you can also remove Detailed Data Sharing and Nearby Sharing. For example, for the default view it will look like this. So you can get rid of the Nearby Sharing display at the top if you don’t use it very often. In the Nearby Sharing settings, you can turn it off and the Nearby Sharing display will disappear and appear like this. You can also remove the detailed data. So the display of the share will be quite simple like this according to what you need. Suppose you still want it to appear, you just have to activate it in the Share Manager settings.
Blur Background Control
Furthermore, you can also adjust the level of blur in the background in the Recent apps or in the App drawer. In this Home Up module, you just have to select the top Home screen. Then here you can immediately activate the Background Blur Control and you enter the options by tapping on the text.
Here you can directly adjust the level of blur intensity on the back of the Recent apps or in the App drawer. And you can also remove the blur so that there is no blur at all if you set it to 0%. So the Home screen will appear like this without any blur at all.
For recent apps, blur will not appear if you set the blur intensity level to 0%.
Furthermore, in the Home screen settings, you can also remove the name of the icon on the Home screen or in the App drawer. Here you just need to activate Hide app icon label at the very bottom and all labels or application names and folders will disappear on the Home screen and the App drawer. So, the display icon and folder names will disappear and not appear at all.
Then the function of this application, you can also set the Home screen grid and Apps screen grid. So if you want to display more icons on one screen, you can change the Home screen grid to the largest one. For example, you want to activate it to 7 x 7 on the Home screen and in the Apps Screen Grid, we also activate the 7 x 7. So the icon display will be quite small and quite small like this and will appear more on one screen.
